About the position

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components essential for the production of Motor Coaches. This role involves applying engineering principles to create products such as chassis and body systems, integrating third-party products, and managing individual coach projects throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

  • Design and analyze vehicle chassis systems and components.
  • Design and analyze vehicle body systems and components.
  • Design and integrate third-party components into the product.
  • Create documentation including prints, assemblies, parts lists, and assembly instructions.
  • Specify components to be used in the vehicle.
  • Work with cross-functional team members to perform root-cause analysis on various issues.
  • Manage R&D projects.
  • Interact with clients to develop specifications for their coaches and manage the project as it moves through production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • 2-5 years experience in motor coach or large vehicle manufacturing and design preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects from concept to implementation.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Inventor, Fusion360, AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of regulations related to the production of an on-road vehicle.
