Actalent Mechanical Engineer in Winneconne , Wisconsin Mechanical Engineer Duties: Operate independently on medium scale assigned projects. Create and revise fully detailed engineering prints. Provide technical direction for prototype builds, and initial builds as required. Create and release projects through the ECN process. Conform to drafting and department standards and processes. Lead mechanical designers as appropriate on jobs and projects. Check engineering drawings for completeness and accuracy. Create and validate BOM's and drawings for submittal and fabrication. Conceptualize, model, and create parts and assemblies in SolidWorks for various projects. Provide direction as required to the design team working on the project. Analyze and respond to issues from both customers and assembly floor as they are brought to engineering's attention. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience. 3+ years of experience operating a 3D design tool with preference of SolidWorks experience. 3+ years of experience with sheet metal design.
