About the position

We are seeking Mechanical Engineers for an exciting project that will take place on a hybrid basis in Wilsonville for a duration of 6-9 months. The primary responsibility for this position is to work with our mechanical engineering team in developing new solutions and supporting existing test solutions at the Wilsonville OR site. This position will heavily utilize development and debug skills for the development of mechanical interfaces and components used on multi-rack automated test stations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing design documentation, modifying production support, and contributing to the success of a cross-functional team to develop solutions to production and field testing problems. This could include initial design prototyping and environment testing solutions. You will also be tasked with developing and reviewing product designs, analyzing development and design requirements, and designing test fixtures, cables, interconnects, and associated documentation. Additionally, you will perform tolerance analysis, prepare and present project and technical information to peers, internal management, and customers. Effective planning and management of tasks will be crucial, as specific tasks include enclosure structural design, thermal and vibration considerations, design verification, prototype build, and production transition to the factory. You will perform assignments requiring the use and application of moderate to complex mechanical engineering principles and techniques.

Requirements

  • Must be detail oriented
  • Must be able to excel in a team environment where the individual will interact with various engineering teams
  • Must have excellent working knowledge with Solidworks
  • Must have excellent working knowledge with NX Designer
  • Must have excellent working knowledge with AutoCAD or similar design tools
  • Must be capable of performing mechanical design and analysis to meet system requirements
  • Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
