About the position

The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems for robotic products. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, applying engineering principles, and working closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate should possess strong engineering design skills, experience with robotics, and a passion for product development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to design and develop components for robotic products
• Use 3D modeling tools (SolidWorks) to create detailed design models
• Optimize designs for manufacturing, performance, and cost
• Lead and participate in design reviews, providing insights to improve designs
• Work with suppliers and manufacturing teams on prototyping, testing, and production
• Oversee prototyping and testing, ensuring thorough documentation
• Plan and execute product revisions and modifications
• Investigate failures and recommend design changes
• Manage engineering documents for end users
• Attend required safety meetings and adhere to company policies
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
• Adhere to workplace behavior and safety policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience with SolidWorks software
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient in 3D modeling and SolidWorks
• Experience with robotic systems and design considerations
• Ability to design sheet metal components and weldments
• Self-motivated and team-oriented
• Excellent communication skills
• Project management skills and deadline-driven
• Adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-haves

• Background in outdoor power equipment or robotics (3+ years)
• Familiarity with FEA and CFD
