About the position

The Mechanical Engineering Co-op/Intern position at Honda for Summer 2025 offers college students hands-on, project-based work relevant to their department of placement. This role is designed to provide valuable experience without the typical intern duties, allowing participants to engage in significant projects such as developing tests, designing systems, and managing projects. Responsibilities

• Focus on equipment, process, quality, and new model activities related to the department of placement.
• Conduct vehicle testing and perform quality analysis.
• Investigate new technologies and implement countermeasures.
• Participate in project management and problem analysis.
• Update and document CAD drawings of existing infrastructure.
• Design manufacturing equipment and tooling in 2D and 3D CAD systems.
• Support the development of vehicle testing and countermeasure analysis.
• Assist design engineers in developing future models and creating drawings.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program studying Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
• Class status: Sophomore (by credit hour) or above.
• Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License (exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis).
• Ability to provide own transportation to and from work.
