About the position

The Mechanical Engineering Co-op position at Clark-Reliance is a full-time opportunity for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. This co-op spans the Spring and Summer sessions of 2025, providing hands-on experience in a world-class manufacturing environment. The role focuses on utilizing CAD software for design tasks, supporting manufacturing processes, and engaging with various stakeholders within the company.

Responsibilities

• Generate component and assembly drawings utilizing AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor design software.
• Create and maintain automated product configuration tools using programming technology contained within AutoCAD Inventor software.
• Generate and process controlled document changes.
• Help research and process purchasing part/material deviations.
• Generate and maintain bills of material within ERP/MRP system.
• Development of documented procedures to support manufacturing processes.
• Implement cost reduction process improvements.
• Perform hands-on work in the manufacturing area.
• Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers, and peers effectively.
• Comply with policies, procedures, standards, and rules of the Company.
• Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
• Maintain work area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Ensure punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
• Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled working toward Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering degree with a minimum of four semesters of schooling, including two semesters in the engineering program.
• Previous 3-D CAD experience.
