About the position
The Mechanical Engineering Co-op position at Foth offers an exciting opportunity for students to apply their engineering knowledge while contributing to real-world projects. This role focuses on engineering fundamentals, elementary analysis, and design tasks, working closely with a lead engineer. Co-op students will engage in machine design, utilize 2D and 3D software, and provide hands-on assembly support for custom machine development projects.
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering fundamentals while performing elementary analysis and design tasks alongside a lead engineer.
- Detail machine design drawings using both 2D and 3D software packages.
- Provide hands-on assembly support for custom machine development projects.
- Maintain a 3D parts database.
Requirements
- Successful completion of 6+ semesters in an ABET accredited mechanical engineering program, with at least 50% core engineering coursework.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 and currently in good standing.
- Required previous experience with and/or coursework involving beginning level AutoCAD Mechanical 2D functions.
- Experience with at least one of the following 3D solid modeling programs: Inventor, SolidEdge, Solidworks.
