About the position
The Mechanical Engineering Co-op position at Clark-Reliance is a two-semester co-op opportunity for students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. This role is designed for the Spring and Summer sessions of 2025, providing hands-on experience in a world-class manufacturing environment. The co-op will involve working with CAD software, supporting manufacturing processes, and engaging with various stakeholders within the company.
Responsibilities
- Generate component and assembly drawings utilizing AutoCAD and AutoCAD Inventor design software.
- Create and maintain automated product configuration tools using programming technology contained within AutoCAD Inventor software.
- Generate and process controlled document changes.
- Help research and process purchasing part/material deviations.
- Generate and maintain bills of material within ERP/MRP system.
- Development of documented procedures to support manufacturing processes.
- Cost reduction process improvements.
- Hands-on work in the manufacturing area.
- Interact and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company, as well as suppliers, customers and peers effectively.
- Comply with policies, procedures, standards and rules of the Company.
- Maintain quality assurance policy consistent with ISO standards.
- Maintain work area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
- Punctual, regular and consistent attendance.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled working toward Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering degree with a minimum of four semesters schooling and two semesters in the engineering program.
- Previous 3-D CAD experience.
