About the position

The Mechanical Engineering Designer at CHA Consulting, Inc. is responsible for the research, preparation, and creation of various types of contract or construction drawings and documents. This role involves collaborating with senior engineering designers, mentoring junior designers, and working with design teams on multiple projects to meet client and company requirements. The designer will produce and revise routine drawings using software such as REVIT and AutoCAD, while ensuring adherence to company standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Research and prepare various types of contract or construction drawings and documents.
• Collaborate with senior engineering designers and mentor junior designers.
• Produce and revise routine drawings or sketches related to engineering design with minimal oversight.
• Prepare project 'As-Builts' documentation and field assignments when appropriate.
• Utilize drawing production software (REVIT, AutoCAD, Bluebeam) to create construction documents.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Engineering Science or related technical field.
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in document production in the related engineering discipline.
• Solid working knowledge of the respective engineering discipline.
• Proficient with discipline-based software (REVIT, AutoCAD, Bluebeam).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
• Strong work ethic and desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
