About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering Intern position at 3D Systems offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the 3D printing industry. Interns will work on designing and testing next-generation 3D printing hardware and subsystems, engaging in creative problem-solving and prototyping. The internship is structured to provide meaningful projects with clear learning objectives, culminating in a presentation to leadership. Interns will also have the chance to network with peers and senior leaders within the company.

Requirements

• Undergraduate candidates working towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Good working knowledge of Physics and Engineering principles.
• CAD experience (Solidworks preferred).
• Ability to work in a laboratory to instrument, test, and debug electro-mechanical systems.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Hands-on experience using 3D printers of any print technology or complexity.

Nice To Haves

• Preference for current students who are rising seniors in an undergraduate program or final year students in a graduate program from an accredited school and program.
• Preference for students with internship/co-op/research experience.

Responsibilities
