About the position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Mechanical Engineering students to join their Fort Lauderdale office. This position focuses on utilizing technical software for analysis and deliverable production, solving complex engineering problems, and collaborating with project managers and other disciplines to realize client visions for the built environment. The role involves supporting the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team, particularly in large-scale HVAC design projects across various sectors such as airports and universities.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Solve complex problems and assist project managers in project execution.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to produce clients' visions for the built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and clients' practices and standards.
  • Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required.
  • Support the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing team in large-scale HVAC design.

Requirements

  • In the process of receiving an ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters).
