About the position

The Mechanical Engineering Intern at Bernhard, LLC is designed for students currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program. This role provides support to engineering teams and involves learning departmental processes, assisting with projects, and participating in various learning experiences. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the energy infrastructure industry while contributing to the company's innovative energy solutions.

Responsibilities

• Learn departmental organizational processes and procedures.
• Assist the departments and team with all aspects of the projects, estimating or business operations with a focus on the engineering and technical aspects of the role.
• Contribute to assigned projects.
• Assist with the development and maintenance of documentation or records.
• Attend departmental, project, and jobsite meetings.
• Perform tasks appropriate to year level of internship under the direction of their supervisor or appropriate departmental staff.
• Participate in any learning experiences offered under the internship program such as orientations, lunch & learns, outings, jobsite tours, safety inspections, etc.
• Study meeting notes, policies, and procedures to learn the way the company conducts business.
• Adhere to all safety processes, procedures and wear personal protective equipment as instructed by departmental staff.
• Attend the exit interview, providing feedback on the experience.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university in the Mechanical Engineering major with a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior classification.
• Must have reliable transportation to work daily.
• Must have a great attitude towards work and others.
• Must be able to take initiative, provide quality work with a sense of urgency and reasonable productivity.
• Must be able to work independently to complete tasks with daily supervision.
