About the position

The Mechanical Field Engineer at Sundt Construction plays a crucial role in supporting the Project Engineer by providing technical information and assistance throughout the project lifecycle. This position is designed for individuals at various experience levels, from entry-level to senior, allowing for professional growth and skill development within a collaborative and employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Engineer in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks, and reviews and processes submittals, change orders, RFl's, and budget forecasting.
• Ensures timely generation, collection, distribution, storage, retrieval, and ultimate disposition of meeting agendas, RFl's, and daily reports.
• Demonstrates understanding of the project management plan (PMP) and supports its execution.
• Ensures administration of the project quality management plan and promotes a culture of safety throughout the project.
• Participates in risk management including identification, analysis, response planning, and monitoring and control on a project.

Requirements

• Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in a similar role for Step I and 2-4 years for Step II, with more than 4 years for Senior level.
• Understanding of project management principles and change management processes.
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with various stakeholders including owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) management.
• Knowledge of environmental control processes for construction projects.
