About the position

The Mechanical Hardware Engineer Graduate role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) is designed for entry-level engineers to support the development of new products in High Performance Computing. This position involves working closely with a design team to assist in the design, analysis, and testing of computer system components and sub-assemblies, while gaining practical knowledge and expertise in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Level Product Design Engineers in designing computer system infrastructure and components.
  • Research and document component parts and generate Bills of Materials.
  • Perform thermal, acoustic, electrical, and mechanical testing of components and systems.
  • Validate and generate test reports for designs against program requirements.
  • Work in a lab environment to validate and qualify conceptual designs and prototype product implementations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience or understanding of Solidworks, Pro E, or other 3D CAD software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of design for sheet metal and plastic parts and associated production tooling and processes.
  • Understanding of thermal properties of materials and heat transfer.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
