About the position
The Mechanical/Hydraulic Technician will oversee and support the installation company in conducting track switches testing, ensuring compliance with processes and regulations. This role involves executing test activities on railway systems, troubleshooting equipment failures, and maintaining safety standards. The technician will also be responsible for reporting test results and collaborating with engineers to address any deviations or issues that arise during testing and commissioning.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support the Installer company in track switches testing.
- Execute test activities on trackside/railway systems in compliance with standards and regulations.
- Support Test Engineers in troubleshooting systems and equipment to identify root causes of failures.
- Report significant deviations and propose action plans to recover delays.
- Record non-conformities (NCR) and report results to system validation.
- Maintain and provide on-site maintenance to railway systems.
- Collaborate with the Field Team to consolidate test reports.
Requirements
- Technician degree in mechanical and hydraulic systems or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience with hydraulic and mechanical systems.
- Experience with electrical systems is a plus.
- Experience in installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Railway experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Visio, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with railway systems such as Object Controllers, CBTC Radios, ATP, ATO, ATS, and DCS.
