About the position

The Mechanical Integrity Planner will coordinate mechanical and fixed asset reliability planning functions for the Technical Resources Department. This role is crucial for planning maintenance work, including welding, turnaround planning, project-specific planning, and corrective maintenance, to minimize production impact. The Planner will also evaluate and procure necessary materials for planned jobs and ensure accurate asset information in the CMMS.

Responsibilities

  • Plan work to maximize utilization of maintenance resources
  • Identify, plan, and procure materials and equipment for maintenance, turnarounds, and minor capital work orders
  • Secure all resources including people, materials, and outside expertise to maximize occupancy and minimize reliability costs
  • Support all Department KPI's as they relate to planning
  • Provide cost-effective maintenance planning practices to meet budget
  • Provide craftsman detailed plans to ensure 'first time right' quality work
  • Support Reliability Initiatives
  • Maintain asset information and Bills of Material in CMMS
  • Develop and maintain detailed plans for inspection, testing, and maintenance activities of mechanical equipment
  • Work closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and operations personnel to plan and execute mechanical integrity activities

Requirements

  • Minimum 8-10 years of plant reliability experience with extensive hands-on knowledge in mechanical integrity, maintenance planning, or inspection in an industrial setting
  • Minimum 3 years of planning experience with prior experience in CMMS systems such as Maximo or SAP
  • Strong commitment to on and off the job safety

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong desire to learn/teach
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to manage personal time to coordinate/track large quantities of work

  • Strong computer skills and in-depth knowledge of CMMS
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
