About the position

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of CNC machinery, equipment, and various mechanical systems. This role involves diagnosing and repairing complex machinery, ensuring operational efficiency, and participating in continuous improvement activities while adhering to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Support site-wide capital program with input for obsolescence planning and new equipment sourcing.
  • Assist with advanced machine/equipment repair abilities.
  • Assist with advanced repair in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, electronic, and plumbing areas.
  • Read and interpret complex equipment and operation instructions to perform repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair Program Logic Controls (PLC) with minimal assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment and a variety of other controls with minimal assistance.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers, wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment with little or no direction.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repairing and replacing gauges, valves, and pressure regulators with little or no direction.
  • Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment and property.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Work safely and actively participate in all plant safety directives while adhering to all safety guidelines and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in Building and/or Equipment Maintenance role.
  • Preventative Maintenance system experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
