About the position

We specialize in the design and manufacture of trains, and we are currently seeking a highly dedicated and innovative Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position is crucial as we continue to grow rapidly in the US market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, particularly in manufacturing assembly, and will be responsible for providing engineering support to electronic maintenance and modification systems. The role requires a hands-on approach to engineering challenges, ensuring that our manufacturing processes are efficient and effective. As a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, you will be involved in establishing processes and guidelines for electric design, working closely with various teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You will also be expected to contribute to our Lean Manufacturing initiatives and may have the opportunity to work with Six Sigma methodologies to improve our processes. Your expertise in 3D CAD tools will be essential as you design and modify components for our trains, ensuring that they are both functional and manufacturable. In addition to technical skills, excellent communication skills are vital for this role, as you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing support in a contractual project environment. We are looking for someone who is not only technically proficient but also passionate about the rail industry and eager to contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality train systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support to electronic maintenance and modification systems.
  • Establish processes and guidelines for electric design.
  • Contribute to Lean Manufacturing initiatives and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Design and modify components for train manufacturing using 3D CAD tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and performance.

Requirements

  • At least 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical engineering for manufacturing assembly, preferably in the rail industry.
  • AS or BS in Engineering is required.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Training in 3D CAD tools is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in SAP is a plus.
  • Experience with contractual related project/work environment.
  • Experience working with analog circuit simulation tools, i.e., PSPICE.
  • Knowledge of CAD software (ProE or AutoCAD preferred).
  • Must have working knowledge of computer software including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SAP software.
  • Experience with analog circuit simulation tools.
