About the position

The Reconditioning Center Operations Manager at DriveTime Family of Brands is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Reconditioning Center, ensuring that vehicles meet quality standards before being sent to retail stores. This role focuses on bottom line management, workflow efficiency, performance management, and quality assurance, while also fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management of all aspects of the Reconditioning Center.
  • Ensure a sufficient variety of high-quality vehicles are supplied to dealerships.
  • Achieve bottom line management objectives through effective team management and operational efficiency.
  • Work with regional management and buyer teams to establish supply chain goals.
  • Recruit, screen, and hire Reconditioning Center team members to reduce turnover and improve performance.
  • Hold regularly scheduled meetings with Reconditioning Center staff.
  • Ensure Team Leads effectively train and develop their direct reports.
  • Evaluate team performance and provide timely feedback based on observations and performance statistics.
  • Assist in conducting performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree in business or vocational/technical school preferred.
  • 4+ years managing a minimum of 15 employees or more.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and work with all levels of employees and customers.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5-7 years total automotive repair experience.
  • Experience in supply chain management.
