About the position

PCL Construction is seeking experienced Mechanical Pipefitters to join our team in Tolleson, Arizona. As a Mechanical Pipefitter, you will play a crucial role in our projects by ensuring the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems. Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to OSHA regulations, and collaborating with other team members to achieve project goals. You will be responsible for interpreting construction drawings and specifications, which will guide your work in setting up mechanical equipment such as boilers, pumps, expansion tanks, and heat exchangers. In this position, you will also be tasked with performing piping tests and communicating tool and material requirements to your supervisor. Your ability to identify potential issues during installation and elevate them to the Foreman or General Foreman will be essential in maintaining project timelines and quality standards. Responsibilities

  • Read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Create a safe working environment and adhere to OSHA regulations.
  • Communicate tool and material requirements to the supervisor.
  • Set mechanical equipment including boilers, pumps, expansion tanks, dirt/air separators, and heat exchangers.
  • Set up and perform piping tests.
  • Identify potential issues during installation and elevate them to Foreman/Gen Foreman.

Requirements

  • Experience as a Mechanical Pipefitter.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
  • Experience in setting mechanical equipment such as boilers and pumps.
  • Ability to perform piping tests.
  • Reliable transportation to job site.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with others.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
