About the position

The Mechanical Planner with SAP Experience is responsible for overseeing all planning, procurement, and project controls related to capital and cost work activities at Brown & Root. This role involves continuous monitoring of work planning and execution processes, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and providing direction to planning, scheduling, procurement, and warehouse personnel. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Attend meetings for upcoming projects and participate in walk-downs to understand responsibilities.
  • Set up meetings and participate in walk-downs with supervision and engineering for all upcoming projects.
  • Participate in estimate checks with planners, engineering, and supervision.
  • Oversee all material, tools, and equipment ordering and receiving.
  • Act as the information hub for all materials, tools, and rental issues.
  • Provide direction and support to all assigned personnel in planning, scheduling, procurement, document control, and warehouse operations.
  • Conduct walk-throughs to review work progress and perform audits to ensure compliance with plans and requirements.
  • Lead the review of weekly site packages and ensure all employees sign off on training conducted.
  • Evaluate employee capabilities and help set career paths.
  • Complete daily timesheets and audit for correctness and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of supervisory experience at the craft level.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of planning practices and processes, cost controls, and safety procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in business management is a plus.
  • Required training includes OSHA 10 Hour and Brown and Root Leadership Essentials.

Nice-to-haves

  • NCCER Certification
  • Experience in conflict management and client relations.
  • Familiarity with ASME/ANSI/NEC/ASTM standards.
