About the position

The Mechanical Process Engineer at Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. is responsible for overall equipment ownership and providing direct technical support for the assigned product line. This role involves developing preventive maintenance schedules, troubleshooting mechanical issues, leading root cause analysis, and training personnel on mechanical processes. The engineer will also analyze production data to enhance process performance and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Overall equipment ownership and direct technical support of the assigned product line.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for mechanical systems.
  • Provide hands-on technical support to production and maintenance teams in resolving mechanical issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address mechanical failures and production downtime.
  • Analyze production data and prepare reports on process performance metrics.
  • Train and mentor production and maintenance personnel on mechanical processes and equipment operation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and encourage knowledge sharing among team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or related Engineering field required.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial process environment required.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a demanding environment.
  • Extensive experience with hands-on troubleshooting and installing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley operating systems and basic knowledge of ladder logic troubleshooting and programming preferred.
  • Previous experience managing capital projects and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, 3D CAD (SolidWorks), and AutoCAD.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with vacuum systems and induction melting preferred.
