About The Position

HTI is seeking a Process Engineer for an automotive supplier in Fountain Inn, SC. This role focuses on optimizing production processes, troubleshooting automated assembly systems, and ensuring quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is hands-on, requiring strong mechanical experience and shop-floor problem-solving.

Requirements

• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment (5+ years preferred, but strong candidates with less experience will be considered)
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting automated assembly processes
• Strong mechanical background, particularly with laser welding, pressing, soldering, drives, and hydraulic systems
• Knowledge of manufacturing automation (screwing, pressing, leak/hydraulic/noise/electronic testing)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve production process performance
• Collaborate with design engineers to enhance manufacturability and resolve production challenges
• Work with quality engineers and production teams to address and prevent defects and downtime
• Develop process improvement plans and implement corrective actions
• Provide technical training and support for production teams
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain technical documentation
• Be hands-on and involved in troubleshooting and resolving shop-floor issues
