About the position
The Mechanical Process Engineer position at OLH Inc. involves providing engineering support services on assigned SRR Engineering Teams. The role focuses on engineering analysis, design development, and the generation of various design output documents related to mechanical processes in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support services on assigned SRR Engineering Teams.
- Conduct engineering analysis and design development.
- Generate design output documents including Process Flow, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, and System Descriptions.
- Create Mechanical Equipment Lists and specifications for equipment, pipes, and valves.
- Perform Failure Analysis and Accident Analysis.
- Conduct Finite Element Analysis and ASME Code Design and Evaluation.
- Execute Pipe Stress Analysis and Material Handling Design.
- Design Fire Protection and HVAC systems.
- Review vendor documents and interface with vendors and fabricators.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- Five years of design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3 code requirements.
- Experience in 2D Microstation Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is preferred.
- Ability to walk down systems in the field.
