About the position

The Mechanical Project Director will lead mechanical construction projects from concept through completion, focusing on large commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. This leadership role requires a detail-oriented individual passionate about delivering high-quality results and managing project success effectively.

Responsibilities

• Drive project success by leading and managing projects to meet financial targets and providing regular updates to senior leadership.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, contractors, and partners to ensure smooth project execution.
• Direct project teams, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards from start to finish.
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop effective project strategies.
• Review construction documents and create detailed project schedules, guiding the team through every phase.
• Coach team members to achieve their full potential and drive overall project success.
• Engage in company-wide planning initiatives to align workforce needs with future projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management, ideally with HVAC, piping, or plumbing systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in construction management tools such as Procore, BlueBeam, P6, and Microsoft Office; experience with Viewpoint and Autodesk is a bonus.
• Strong background in estimating and resource scheduling.
• Ability to interpret complex construction documents.
• A strong drive to achieve long-term goals and deliver high-quality outcomes.
