About the position

Tech USA is currently seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for a full-time position to be a part of a dynamic and diverse team in Denver, CO. This role is crucial for supporting Project Managers and ensuring the successful execution of various engineering projects. The Mechanical Project Engineer will be responsible for managing Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, change orders, and other essential documentation. This position requires the ability to make significant design recommendations and decisions with minimal input from senior staff, showcasing a high level of expertise and confidence in engineering principles. In this role, the Mechanical Project Engineer will plan design work and assign design duties to staff working on projects, ensuring that all team members are effectively utilized and that project timelines are met. The ideal candidate will have a desire to transition into Project Management, actively seeking out future projects and opportunities for growth within the company. Additionally, the Mechanical Project Engineer will develop man loading, attend meetings, and coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure seamless project execution. Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers

  • Makes major design recommendations and design decisions with little input from senior staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 5-10 years of MEP/Commercial building design experience desired
  • Experience with healthcare or education field is ideal
  • Ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities an Engineer performs
  • Outstanding leadership in either the Technical or Project Management Path items
  • Ability to provide a high level of leadership to others
  • Ability to perform final quality control check in their area of expertise
