About the position

Mead & Hunt is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their A&BE team. This role involves providing technical expertise and leadership to the mechanical project team, ensuring successful project execution while mentoring junior staff and assisting in business development. The position requires travel to military bases and airports, emphasizing the need for strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical expertise, oversight, and leadership to the mechanical project team
• Attending client meetings
• Performing construction phase services
• Mentoring less experienced staff
• Assisting with business development

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited college or university
• At least 6 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
• A PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states

• Designing hot water, chilled water and condenser water systems
• Designing VAV, Geothermal and/or VRF systems
• Designing and specifying of DDC control systems
• Designing mechanical systems for Federal Government projects
