About the position

The Mechanical Project Manager at Standard Inspection Services serves as the primary liaison between customers, program management, foremen, and assigned leadmen to ensure the successful completion of all assigned work. This role is crucial for meeting contract requirements and involves overseeing project specifications, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with internal and external procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between customers, program management, foremen, and assigned leadmen.
• Review and understand Basic Work Specifications before commencing jobs/projects.
• Process reports, review quotes and contracts for accuracy and alignment with customer scope of work.
• Communicate with suppliers, customers, and company employees to achieve contract requirements.
• Supervise assigned employees to ensure compliance with duties and procedures.
• Assist EHS/QA Department in processing quality issues with production personnel.
• Maintain detailed schedules, financial records, and software data to control program aspects.
• Ensure jobs/projects are properly opened and processed in TRAC and ERP System.
• Conduct kick-off meetings with production team personnel to clarify work scope.
• Attend routine meetings and provide status reports/updates.
• Coordinate temp services installation at the worksite, if required.
• Conduct weekly surveys of active job sites with foremen.
• Manage contract budget performance for labor, materials, and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a ship repair supervisory role.
• Understanding of Naval Ship Repair requirements and working environment.
• Proficiency in standard office computer software.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid California driver's license.
