About the position
The Mechanical Project Manager at Southern Air is responsible for the day-to-day management of designated projects, ensuring they are completed in accordance with contractual requirements, company policies, and client expectations. This role involves overseeing project setup, communication with clients and vendors, and managing project staff to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the overall management of projects including setup, communication, reporting, and billing.
- Work with vendors to obtain submittals and manage project closeout documentation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, design professionals, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Schedule, assign, and direct the work of project staff.
- Supervise construction efforts to ensure compliance with design, budget, and schedule.
- Participate in pre-bid inspections and project-related meetings.
- Manage projects to completion, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- Overall knowledge of the construction process.
- Journeyman or Master's Card or a college degree in building construction or related field.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
