About the position
The Mechanical Repair Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of mobile mining equipment in both shop and field environments. This role requires a thorough understanding of heavy equipment systems and the ability to work safely in a mining environment while adhering to the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety policies.
Responsibilities
- Safely maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of mobile mining equipment including CAT haul trucks, Dresser haul trucks, Komatsu haul trucks, and more.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on mobile support equipment such as forklifts and diesel trucks.
- Execute, support, and enforce the Company's Environmental, Health and Safety program as required by OIS policy, directives, and principles.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Minimum of two years journeyman experience in mining or other comparable heavy equipment environment.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and air conditioning systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
