About the position

Trillium Construction is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent for an industrial project located in Dublin, Georgia. This position is crucial for overseeing mechanical operations and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards. The current project is expected to last for over six months, requiring a commitment of more than 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of additional overtime as production demands. The Mechanical Superintendent will be responsible for managing a crew of over 30 employees, coordinating with schedulers, and ensuring that all necessary materials, tools, and resources are ordered and available for the team. In this role, the Mechanical Superintendent will conduct regular update reviews and maintain strict quality control over the work performed by the crew. Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical installations, including setting, aligning, and completing maintenance and new installations on industrial equipment and machinery. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering prints, measurements, and layouts is essential for success in this position. The pay for this role starts at $40.00 per hour, depending on experience, and qualified travelers may receive a per-diem of $100.00 for each day worked, subject to a minimum daily work requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee mechanical operations on-site and manage a crew of 30+ employees.

  • Order materials, craft resources, tooling, and consumables as needed.
  • Conduct update reviews and maintain quality control of work performed by the crew.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all operations.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role as a Mechanical Superintendent.
  • Proven track record of managing large crews in industrial settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering prints.
  • Strong understanding of measurements, layouts, and mechanical installations.
  • Verifiable references and work history in mechanical operations.
