About the position

The Mechanical Systems Servicer position at Pratt & Whitney involves performing equipment installations, maintenance, and repair work under the direction of a supervisor. This role is essential for ensuring the operational efficiency of mechanical systems and requires adherence to safety practices while collaborating with other trades on joint projects. The position is located in East Hartford, CT, and operates on the 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions and drawings to determine material requirements and plan sequence of operations.
• Obtain required support services and tools to carry out assignments.
• Check to assure equipment and supplies are available when required.
• Perform equipment installations, maintenance, and repair work as needed.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and service as required.
• Provide assistance to others on projects involving the care, use, and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Maintain safe work practices while performing duties throughout the facility.
• Assist other trades on joint projects where skill crossover is applicable.
• Refer difficulties to supervisor or project leader.
• Train for, obtain, and maintain licenses, operator permits, and certifications within assigned area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years related experience
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program/contract.
