The position involves reading and understanding blueprints and bills of material to manufacture sub-assembly parts. The individual will operate pipe threaders and cutting devices, install mechanical assemblies onto generator engines and fuel tanks, and assemble functional parts of enclosures and tanks using various hand and power tools. Responsibilities also include inspecting parts with precision measuring equipment, using forklifts and other lifting apparatus for assembly, and assisting in the installation of electrical components and plumbing systems. The role requires assembling both small and large sub-assemblies according to prints or drawings, packaging parts to customer requirements, and ensuring that all tasks are completed satisfactorily. The individual will also prepare generator packages for shipment and maintain a clean and organized work area.
