About the position

The Mechanical Technician I position at Element U.S. Space & Defense involves performing tests and measurement tasks within the Mechanical department, focusing on hydraulically based parameters such as flows, pressures, and specific loads. The role requires interaction with clients, troubleshooting, and documentation of test data, all while maintaining a safe and organized lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Read specifications from technical documents and prepare test equipment for setup.
• Monitor tests according to specifications and interact with customers as needed.
• Troubleshoot issues during testing and document all pertinent data.
• Verify, review, and document all data after test completion, finalizing it for the Program Manager.
• Maintain the lab by cleaning equipment, keeping instruments calibrated, and organizing supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; Technical Certification, AA or AS degree preferred.
• 0-3 years of experience in a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles and safety practices.
• Basic mechanical and electrical skills, along with basic MS Office skills.
