About The Position

The Mechanical Tradesman at IGS Energy is responsible for a variety of construction activities related to the safe and efficient building of Biogas facilities primarily in Ohio and Indiana. This role requires a diverse skill set in construction trades, particularly in carpentry and mechanical work, and involves significant travel and teamwork in a high-performance environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 4+ years of experience in the construction trades, with a strong preference for carpentry and mechanical/plumbing skills.
• Strong understanding of various construction trades.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Skilled in the use of heavy construction machinery, hand and power tools.
• Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Electrical experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, forklifts, skid loaders, mini-excavators, and other equipment as directed by management.
• Lay and connect pipes of various materials and fitting types (water/gas, etc.).
• Perform concrete flatwork for equipment pads as needed.
• Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with equipment.
• Assist in developing solutions for construction challenges on site.
• Maintain a clean and presentable construction site.
• Adhere to safety regulations and procedures.
• Support IGS business with other tasks as needed.
