This position is part of the Space Systems Development (SSD) business unit, which develops next-generation concepts and systems to advance our future of living and working in space sustainably. As a Mechanisms Design Engineer II, you will be part of a diverse team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. You will work directly with NASA and our Team supporting the Commercial LEO Destinations (CLD) program, playing a key role in developing the Orbital Reef Space Station that will maintain a human presence in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) going forward into the future. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality will be essential as you join our team to positively impact safe human spaceflight. You will be deployed to programs that shape the future of Blue Origin, utilizing your skills in the design and analysis of spacecraft mechanisms to deliver safe, reliable, ready-to-install hardware that meets requirements while adhering to allocated cost and schedule requirements.
