About The Position

As a Mechatronics Junior Technician Apprentice, you will engage in a comprehensive learning program that combines classroom instruction, laboratory work, and on-the-job training. The role focuses on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various electronic, mechanical, computer, control, and robotics/automation systems within a Fulfilment/Distribution Center. This apprenticeship emphasizes adherence to health and safety policies while developing practical skills in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to meet the minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
• Basic computer skills including email, word processing, and reading spreadsheets.
• Willingness to travel for training at various sites for 12 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Follow work processes closely to ensure a safe environment while job shadowing with a technical advisor.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively within a team environment both in school and on the job.
• Work with technical documentation and computer systems in both educational and practical settings.
• Learn to operate material transfer conveyors under the guidance of experienced technical advisors.
• Understand and identify malfunctions in systems, and assist in their repair and maintenance.
• Gain experience with PLCs and collaborate with Automation Engineers in a laboratory setting.
• Work with robotic systems alongside Robotics Engineers and OEMs in real-world applications.
• Combine electronic, mechanical, computer, and control skills to maintain high-performance manufacturing systems.
• Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
• Communicate with machine operators to detect and analyze equipment problems.
