About the position
The Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) at C&W Services is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, and control systems within a fulfillment/distribution center. This role includes a comprehensive training program that combines classroom learning with on-the-job training, leading to a promotion to Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) upon successful completion.
Responsibilities
- Follow safety protocols during training and on-the-job learning.
- Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance on systems.
- Install, repair, adjust, and test equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Work with technical documentation to maintain material handling equipment.
- Analyze technical specifications of mechatronic systems and components.
- Learn PLCs and collaborate with Automation Engineers in a lab setting.
- Communicate effectively within a team environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Minimum qualifying score on a Mechanical Aptitude Test.
- Ability to enroll in and attend a 12-week training program at designated colleges.
- Completion of one year of On-the-Job Learning (OJL) after training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Ability to work flexible schedules.
