About the position

As a Mechanical Integrity Engineer II at Williams, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations within the natural gas and petrochemical industry. This position involves collaborating with various teams to manage mechanical integrity processes, conduct technical assessments, and support enterprise initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining critical inspection data and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, all while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide spectrum of assignments requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgment while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Work with an increased level of independence on mid-sized projects/technical assignments supporting operations, with supervision as needed.
  • Develop an understanding of industry and operational requirements.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety requirements, produce results, and meet goals.
  • Apply knowledge of company processes, policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the organization and governing agencies.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to individuals and groups.
  • Administer enterprise and site-specific WIMS standards and operating requirements for mechanical integrity-related procedures.
  • Lead content management of mechanical integrity procedures for focus and working teams.
  • Provide support for inspection data management system database (IDMS) and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Support suitability for service for corrosion analysis of inspection data per API and ASME processes.
  • Assist with case study asset investigations and provide input for process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry.
  • Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on safety.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • FE Certification
  • Experience working with ASME PCC-2, API-579, API-580/581 and API-571.
  • Experience working with environmental regulations applicable to atmospheric storage tanks (API and STI).
