About the position

The Med Spa Front Desk Receptionist at Park Slope Laser Aesthetic Center is a vital role that serves as the first point of contact for clients visiting our facility. This position requires a friendly and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about the beauty industry and possesses excellent organizational skills. The receptionist will be responsible for greeting customers upon their arrival, answering inquiries about our services, and processing transactions efficiently. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy, disciplined, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. In this role, the receptionist will engage with clients through various communication channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions. They will be expected to book and confirm appointments, update client records, and manage our call center effectively. The receptionist will also play a key role in maintaining a tidy reception area, ensuring that it is welcoming and organized for our clients. Knowledge of patient management software such as Patient-Now and Booker is a plus, as is familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok, which are essential for promoting our services and engaging with our clientele. Flexibility in scheduling is crucial, as the receptionist will be required to work full shifts that may extend from the first to the last appointment of the day. Candidates who have limited availability or live outside of Brooklyn or Manhattan are discouraged from applying due to commute restrictions. We are looking for a serious, punctual, and reliable candidate who can grow with our team and contribute positively to our work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers upon their arrival and provide a warm welcome.
  • Answer clients' questions about services via phone, email, or in person.
  • Process transactions (cash and credit cards) and issue receipts.
  • Book and confirm appointments via phone and email.
  • Update client records with contact and billing details, appointments, and services offered.
  • Manage our call center and handle inquiries efficiently.
  • Maintain a tidy reception area, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing as needed.
  • Create photo collages and save before/after photos of clients.

Requirements

  • Enthusiasm and a passion for the beauty industry.
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment, like printers and POS systems.
  • Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone, and email) with a positive customer service attitude.
  • Solid organization and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to multitask even during peak hours with a smile.
  • Punctuality and professionalism, with well-groomed business-casual attire.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Patient-Now and Booker software is a plus.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
