About the position
The Biomed Equipment Tech at KBR is responsible for developing and maintaining medical devices and procedures that address health-related challenges. This role combines expertise in biology, medicine, and engineering to ensure the functionality and safety of medical equipment used in various healthcare settings, particularly in support of the Department of State's medical support services at the United States Embassy and adjacent facilities in the Middle East.
Responsibilities
- Installing, conducting electrical safety checks, performing routine maintenance, running performance tests, and completing both major and minor repairs on medical equipment in designated areas.
- Operating advanced testing equipment and instruments for inspections, performance evaluations, and scheduled maintenance or repairs of medical devices.
- Reviewing and compiling data gathered from tests into reports.
- Providing maintenance and services to calibrate all medical equipment, including CT scanners, within the assigned region.
Requirements
- High school degree; associate degree preferred.
- Coursework/Training in Electronics Technology, Military or Technical Training, or equivalent education/experience.
- 5-7 years of experience in a related field (military training, technical school, etc.).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- U.S. Citizenship with a current U.S. Driver's License.
- Possession of a passport book with at least 13 months of remaining validity and 6 blank visa/stamp pages.
- Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Meeting CENTCOM MOD (Fit for Duty) theater requirements.
- Possession or ability to obtain a U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance or favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
