About the position

The Sr. Operations and Quality Manager at KBR is responsible for overseeing and managing significant government services projects, particularly in the context of medical support services for the Department of State. This role involves executing company policies, improving operational systems, and ensuring quality standards are met while collaborating with various departments to achieve operational efficiency and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and manages the daily activities of the organization's operations.
  • Executes company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Reviews and improves existing operational systems.
  • Tracks performance in relation to operational objectives and creates reporting and auditing systems to assess operational efficiency.
  • Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of operations.
  • Contributes to strategic decision-making impacting the area of responsibility.
  • Assists in the development of budgets and forecasts.
  • Handles escalated issues arising from operations, working in conjunction with other departments when necessary.
  • Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.
  • Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality standard of procedures that go into work scope.
  • Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
  • Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members.
  • Participates in the development of functional strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U. S. Driver's License.
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree and/or 9+ years of experience.
  • Must meet KBR and Government mandated pre-deployment requirements including drug screening, medical screening, dental release, and criminal background check.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Must possess a passport book with at least 13 months of remaining validity and 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • Must meet CENTCOM MOD (Fit for Duty) theater requirements.
  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance and/or a favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT).
