About the position

The Med Tech in Personal Care at TANDEM LIVING is responsible for providing quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their unique needs are met in accordance with Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations. This role involves administering medications, monitoring health changes, and maintaining accurate documentation, all while adhering to the organization's core values and mission.

Responsibilities

• Administers and charts medications, ensuring refills are electronically ordered from pharmacy.
• Obtains vital signs per medication protocol and completes treatments per physician orders.
• Assesses skin condition of residents and implements appropriate procedures for skin tears.
• Oversees assigned staff to ensure quality care.
• Timely completes or assists with all required documentation/forms including admissions/discharges, transfers to hospital, assessments, support plans, and DME/MA51's.
• Monitors, responds to, and reports health changes of residents.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Medication Technician certificate is preferred.
• Current CPR Certification or the ability to become CPR Certified.
• Completion of DHS Direct Care Training or the ability to complete training.
• Healthcare experience and experience administering medications preferred.
