Responsibilities

• Pretesting and processing samples (Pre-Analytic)
• Performing, analyzing, interpreting, and confirming tests (Analytic)
• Documenting and delivering test results (Post-Analytic)
• Operating and maintaining standard lab instruments and equipment
• Ensuring the accuracy of test results based on established standards and regulatory requirements
• Monitoring and controlling test conditions and specimen quality
• Identifying atypical organisms and solving unexpected problems
• Correlating data to verify results and implementing new procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical/physical/biological or other life science with relevant clinical laboratory experience within the last five years
• OR Bachelor's degree in laboratory medical technology with clinical rotation
• National MT certification with ASCP, AMT, or Certification with the US Department of Health and Human Services as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist
• OR MLT certification with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• New graduates must obtain national certification within the first six months of employment
