About the position

The Medication Aide/Tech position at The Reserve at Braeswood Senior Living involves supervising self-administered medication for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. The role is crucial for ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations and requires effective communication with staff and residents. The position also includes responding to emergencies and maintaining confidentiality of resident information.

Responsibilities

• Supervise self-administered medication for the Assisted Living Department in compliance with regulations.
• Report any changes in residents' health and provide documentation to the LPN/LVN and/or Assisted Living Director.
• Respond quickly to all emergencies.
• Maintain close communication with all departments and staff members.
• Provide educational meetings for residents and staff as requested by supervisor.
• Understand role in the Safety and Disaster Plan.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and prospective residents' information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Assisted Living and/or Memory Care Community.
• Previous experience as a Medication Technician required.
• Certified Medication Aides/Techs a PLUS!
• A high school diploma or GED.
