About the position

We are looking for a dynamic Media and Content Marketing Manager to focus on content writing, team coordination, and updates to clients! This is a fully remote, contract-to-hire position. The successful candidate will oversee the content strategy and coordinate work among a team of writers. This role requires a blend of content creation, strategic planning, and team management to ensure all content meets our SEO and writing standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute content strategies that drive engagement, impressions, awareness, thought leadership, lead generation/nurturing, and lead conversions via blogs, white papers, and infographics.
  • Manage and coordinate work items amongst a team of two other writers, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
  • Contribute to content creation for a wide range of clients, including highly technical topics (10,000-15,000 words of copy a week).
  • Maintain a standard of quality in regard to content value, creativity, professionalism, structure, flow, and overall readability.
  • Check and optimize articles for natural use of SEO keywords, headings, lists, and content that fulfills search intent.
  • Participate in peer editing for both internal and external projects, correcting spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, and inconsistencies, ensuring consistent tones between multiple writers and for multiple clients.
  • Use appropriate apps and tools to track projects, streamline workflow, and ensure each finished product is polished.
  • Liaise regularly with writers and directors via video conferencing and messaging software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Writing, Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of professional copywriting experience.
  • 1+ years of professional editing experience.
  • 1+ years of remote work experience preferred.
  • Stellar writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • A passion for marketing and experience in creating content for organic search and marketing campaigns - ideally in a B2B environment.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to pivot quickly and work on tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter who is able to manage your own time and maintain focus in a WFH environment.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and keyword research.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience using platforms such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.
  • Ability to parse analytics and make content recommendations based on performance.
  • Familiarity with task management software, editing software, and website editors.
