About the position

The Media Buyer at Impact Partnership plays a crucial role in assisting the Media Director with planning and purchasing media space for independent financial clients. This position requires strong negotiation skills, the ability to manage multiple accounts, and the capability to build relationships with media vendors. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute positively to the company's mission of supporting financial advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize industry research data to help with the development of media recommendations
  • Investigate, plan, and negotiate opportunities for airing financial radio and TV shows
  • Plan and negotiate radio and TV commercial schedules
  • Evaluate, compile, and present media options
  • Assist in the placing, monitoring and delivery of all media orders
  • Reconcile and manage media billing
  • Prepare and maintain media schedules
  • Assist with the traffic delivery for all TV commercials/shows
  • Monitor response, costs and return on investment (ROI)

Requirements

  • Positive attitude is required
  • Strong traditional broadcast experience required
  • Familiarity with Nielsen, TapScan, Scarborough and other media industry tools
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Well-organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and prioritize tasks across multiple accounts
  • Strong knowledge of the current media landscape
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Major in Advertising or Marketing
  • Min 5+ years of media planning/buying or media sales experience required
