About the position

The Media Buyer at Gordon McKernan Injury Attorneys is responsible for planning, purchasing, and optimizing traditional media buys across various platforms, including Broadcast TV, Streaming TV, and radio. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to enhance brand exposure and maximize ROI on advertising expenditures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage media buying strategies for traditional Broadcast TV, Cable, Streaming TV, and Traditional & Streaming Radio.
  • Conduct comprehensive media audits to assess performance, verify placement, ensure accountability, and negotiate make-goods from media vendors.
  • Handle media trafficking duties, including scheduling, coordinating, and ensuring the accurate delivery of all media assets to broadcast and streaming platforms.
  • Conduct audience research to identify the best placement and timing for media buys.
  • Analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to optimize campaigns.
  • Negotiate with media vendors to secure the best rates, placements, and added value.
  • Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across channels.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify new opportunities to expand media reach.
  • Review final GMIA creative for correctness and to ensure compliance with all advertising regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in media buying and auditing, preferably within an agency or a high-volume setting.
  • Proven experience with media planning, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Proficiency in media buying, analytics, and auditing tools, including Freewheel / Strata, Media Radar, Vivvix, Kantar, AdSope, and Comscore.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with DSPs (Basis, The Trade Desk, etc.), Google Analytics, or other streaming TV and digital platforms.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing competitive rates and placements.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with legal advertising guidelines and compliance.
