About the position

KNOE, Gray Television's CBS affiliate in Monroe, Louisiana, is seeking a Media Executive to join our dynamic team of integrated marketing and advertising professionals. This position is crucial for helping our clients effectively reach and retain their best customers through innovative research, marketing strategies, and advertising solutions. As a Media Executive, you will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, dedicating a significant portion of your time to new business development. This role is ideal for individuals who are high-energy, creative, and enjoy working collaboratively with clients to achieve their business goals. In this position, you will be responsible for championing new business initiatives, which will account for approximately 80% of your time. You will maintain a list of ongoing accounts, which includes meeting with clients, presenting new ideas, processing orders, and managing day-to-day operations. Your role will also involve researching ideas for both new and existing accounts, allowing you to build dynamic presentations tailored to enhance your clients' business growth. Additionally, you will be tasked with forecasting monthly and quarterly results while striving to meet annual sales goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to understand clients and their businesses, coupled with a thirst for ongoing learning in advertising, marketing, television, and digital strategies. You will leverage your creativity to solve problems and develop compelling advertising campaigns that resonate with target audiences. Experience in selling digital products and strategies, including audience targeting, social media, PPC, and SEO, is highly desirable and will set you apart in this competitive role.

Responsibilities

  • Be a NEW BUSINESS Champion - 80% of your time devoted to growing your list in the form of New Business
  • Maintain a list of ongoing accounts: Including seeing, presenting new ideas, keying orders, and any other day-to-day operations
  • Researching Ideas for both New and existing accounts
  • Building dynamic presentations, customized to grow your clients' business
  • Forecasting monthly and quarterly results and achieving annual goals

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 2 years of Sales Experience, OR a background or education in Business
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
  • Ability to use creativity to solve problems
  • Ability to develop campaigns and motivate others
  • A real desire to understand your clients and their businesses
  • A thirst for ongoing learning: advertising, marketing, television, digital
  • Experience selling digital products/strategies including audience targeting, social media, PPC, SEO is a plus
