About the position

The Media Operations Analyst at NBCUniversal provides operational and technical support for the Global Media Operations team, focusing on file-based digital workflows in a fast-paced environment. This role involves media ingestion, quality control, editing, and customer support for applications related to digital media, ensuring seamless media delivery and problem-solving in a 24/7 operational setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical support for the Global Media Operations team and clients.
• Assist operations/engineering members with operational/technical support issues.
• Ingest, prep, QC, and deliver content globally.
• Provide customer support for applications and products used for file-based digital workflows.
• Resolve issues electronically, on the phone, and in person.
• Support video editing, transcoding, digital file delivery, and live streaming.

Requirements

• High school diploma and relevant certification or associate degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience.
• 1+ year of experience in a support-oriented position.
• 1+ year of experience working in all Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Word, Excel).

Nice-to-haves

• 2+ years of experience in a broadcast or fulfillment operations or post-production environment.
• Strong desire to learn and take on new technologies and challenges.
• Familiarity with digital media file types including Quicktime, MXF, MPEG, Mp4, and more.
• Experience with live video and media files including streaming and transcoding technologies.
• Knowledge of digital delivery methods and storage management.
